Officer's Position, LDA, the Campus Book Project and Ciao Promotion

Hello everyone!

First things first, there is a new officer's position! If you are good with people and interested in holding an advertising and outreach position in our club, this opportunity is for you. As the Advertising and Outreach Officer, you would be in charge of the following: maintaining our listserv and gmail, helping with the creation and cost analysis of advertisements, helping coordinate attendance at events, connecting students and faculty with the club, and looking for networking and service opportunities. If this sounds like an easy enough job for you and something you would be excited to assist us with, then send us an email or attend our next meeting!

This Wednesday at our meeting we will have a guest speaker from LDA-landscape architecture-show us around their projects on campus. Be prepared to walk with us and visit their sites!

This Wednesday Dr. Illène Pevec will be presenting her book "Growing a Life: Teen Gardeners Harvest Food, Health and Joy" from 4:15-5:30 PM in Hunt Hall 142. She will be joined in presenting her work by Oscar Cervantes, an Oakland Leaf gardener and UCD student. Follow this link for more information!
